WOOD TARVER FINANCIAL

The Wood Tarver Financial office building, located within the growing and vibrant Barber Valley Subdivision, sought to achieve a subtle Mountain Modern style. BRS Architects worked directly with the client and his General Contractor during all phases of design and construction to ensure community design standards were met and desired program elements were provided. The client wanted an office space that they could grow into; Keeping this request in mind, we planned the building to have two tenant spaces. Strategic space planning will allow for a seamless future expansion into the adjacent tenant space. At 2,599 sf, the current Wood Tarver Financial office is a compact office footprint. However, BRS Architects looked for every opportunity to add visual interest and unique interior design features into this small office space. The result is an office that is both functional and inviting.
The interior of the building was heavily influenced by the exterior design. The sloped ceiling of the office lobby matches the stained wood soffit of the butterfly roofs. Large storefront windows with shade louvers ensure that natural daylighting is available throughout the entire office. Sight lines from the office lobby allow glimpses through the building to the south facing employee lounge and patio, providing an open airy feeling consistent with the Mountain Modern style. This style is further embraced through the use of large format masonry, sloped standing seam roofs, and heavy timber framing to accent the subtle Mountain Modern design.
