BRS Architect’s history of projects on the Hawai’i islands started in 1974 with the design of Lihue Federal Credit Union on the island of Kauai. The two-story financial institution features concrete blocks as its main construction material that provides a distinctive aesthetic and visual grounding of the structure. The client wished for the building that would stand the test of time and it certainly has as it still serves the Kauai community as Garden Island Federal CU.
