R+L CARRIERS DISTRIBUTION CENTER
industrial | boise, idaho
The R+L Carriers Distribution Center provides a new trucking terminal that houses shipping operations and storing needs while also providing convenient on‐site amenities such as a truck maintenance shop and a gas fueling station. After a long planning process, including a change in site, a location appropriate for this type of use was chosen in the Airport Planning Area on the East side of South Eisenman Road in southeast Boise. The site is easily accessible from Interstate I‐84 off the Gowen Road Exit 57 or South Eisenman Road Exit 59A.
The trucking terminal is a combination of two construction types: the warehouse/truck terminal is a pre-manufactured metal building with insulated metal panels, and the office portion is steel framed with an EIFS finish. The maintenance shop building is a separate single story pre-manufactured metal building structure. There is also a canopy over the gas fueling station. This new facility replaces their original location in Boise and exponentially increases the company’s storing and shipping capabilities in the region.
