EAGLE CITY HALL

government | eagle, idaho

Long time developer-client Hawkins Companies contacted BRS to design a new city hall for the City of Eagle to lease with the option to purchase. BRS worked closely with the developer and city staff to develop a plan and aesthetic that would meet their needs for years to come. The project site and 13,600 square foot first phase were designed to accommodate a future 7,000 square foot addition as the city’s needs and budget grow. In addition to staff offices, work space and conference rooms; the first phase houses a “town hall” for public meetings and other multi-use functions. The seating is portable and the council dais is on wheels to allow flexibility in how the space is used.

The building design also incorporated energy saving components such as high efficiency lighting and HVAC units, low water plumbing fixtures, low-e insulated glazing and reflective roofing material. By using these components into the design, BRS was able to assist the developer and the city realize savings in utility costs through Idaho Power’s Energy Incentive Programs.
