CAMILLE BECKMAN

industrial | eagle, idaho

Once housed in a small garage, Camille Beckman, maker of body care products, contracted with BRS Architects to design a 103,500 square foot production facility. The building includes offices, retail space, laboratory, storage, and loading docks.

The building was designed to have English Tudor style appearance which was crucial for this facility to not only reflect Camille Beckman’s product image, but to also minimize the impact of a large manufacturing facility in a rural setting.

Beyond the attention to aesthetics, care was given to design a facility that would save energy and reduce waste. This was achieved by including an innovative heating and cooling system, skylights, electrical dimmers and the reusing of water from the production line. These efforts were recognized in 2004 when the project received the Better Bricks Award for Energy Efficiency.
