BRS Invitational Golf Scramble

On June 30th, BRS held our 2nd Annual BRS Invitational Golf Scramble. This year the weather cooperated and the tournament was a great success! Scores were tight this year with only 11 strokes separating 1st from last place. In fact, there was a tie for first place with a net score of 59 and a playoff was used to determine the winner:

1St Place: Jared Smith, Bill Waterfield, Don Knickrehm and Ken Reglin (59)

2nd Place: Ben Jansen, Brad Jacob, Russell Shoemaker and Joe Lechner (59)

We would like to thank everyone for coming out and making the tournament a great one. We would also like to thank Eagle Hills for their excellent work in getting everything ready for us. We’ll see everyone on the course again next year!

1st Place

1st Place Team: Ken Reglin, Bill Waterfield, Don Knickrehm and Jared Smith

2nd Place Team:

2nd Place Team: Russell Shoemaker, Ben Jansen, Brad Jacob and Joe Lechner

BRS Cinco De Mayo Festivities!

Guacamole & Salsa Winners; Scott Stom and David Glancy

Guacamole & Salsa Winners; Scott Stom and David Glancy

BRS Architects celebrated Cinco De Mayo on Tuesday with a potluck that included salsa & guacamole competitions and even a Piñata! For the salsa competition, it was no contest… Dave Glancey was the clear winner receiving just about 100% of the votes. For the guac competition though, things were much closer. “Special” Ed Ostrom was initially declared the winner, however after official examination, 100% of the voters had not placed their votes and it was discovered that Ed had in fact voted for his own guacamole, a clear violation of BRS food competition etiquette. Once the recount was tallied, Scott “Undefeated” Stom retained his undefeated food competition status and clearly has the skills when it comes to guacamole.

After the food competition drama had settled, the party moved outside for the Piñata. After a few patrons failed in their attempts to annihilate the piñata, Doug Racine showed his dominance and slayed the paper mache donkey.

All in all it was a great night. Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone!
